The Process

1. First step

The process of having a bespoke piece of jewellery made will usually start with an initial chat over the phone or via email. This will allow me to get an understanding of roughly what you're after, any time frames you're working to and how I can best make it happen. If you're unsure of exactly what it is you want then I can help to guide you through the options.

2. Consultation

The next step is a chance for us to meet and discuss the piece in more detail. If you have a budget that you would like me to work to, then I will do my best to source stones or other materials to show you during our meeting. I will be able to guide you through the characteristics of each stone to allow you to make a more informed decision. If for any reason you're unable to make it into the studio then all of the above is possible via email, phone call or video call.

3. Refining the design

Following on from our meeting I will be equipped with enough information to start refining the design. This could involve a series of examples of past creations and sketches to a quick phone call describing an idea of mine. Depending on the complexity of the design and the difficulty of finding the perfect stones, this part can vary in timescale. Once we have finalised and signed off on a design a deposit will be required for us to move onto the next step.

4. Bringing the design to life

As a craftsman through and through, this part of the process is the part that I love the most. We will now begin to masterfully create your piece. Every bespoke piece we make will be handmade the traditional way, without the use of pre made components or computer aided design. We believe in the imperfect perfection that can only be achieved when a piece has been hand crafted from start to finish. Please take a look at the workshop page to get a better understanding of what we mean.

5. Delivery

This step speaks for itself. Once the piece is ready and boxed up, you will be able to take home your new bespoke piece.
