Ryan, a second generation diamond mounter first picked up a file at the age of 14 in his fathers workshop. Soon after displaying a natural flair for the craft he was challenged to develop the skills by working on client pieces.
Not wanting to stop there, he left school at 16 and needed little encouragement to look further afield, enrolling in a fine jewellery course at London metropolitan university, also known as sir John Cass faculty of arts.
After finishing the course with distinctions he was fortunate enough to begin a 5 year apprenticeship working closely with and learning from one of Londons finest and most respected jewellers. Whilst there he entered, (and won) multiple awards for outstanding craftsmanship in industry competitions.
in 2010 Ryan completed his apprenticeship with the goldsmiths’ company and became a freeman of the city of London.
6 years on and Ryan has become well known in Hatton Garden for his clean way of working and meticulous attention to detail. His friendly and easy going approach means that his clients can relax and really enjoy the experience and creative process, rather than feel intimidated or pressurised in any way.
Everything we make here at RNL is handmade from start to finish, using only the finest materials, sourced from ethical suppliers. Because most of the work that leaves the studio is bespoke, we dont hold a large amount of stock. Here are a select few of our favourite commisions.
